FAILED BLACK DUX SECURA PIPEWORK

A Sunday callout after the homeowner heard a hissing sound coming from inside the wall overnight.

After investigating, we located a failed section of black Dux Secura pipe leaking inside the wall cavity. Fortunately, we were able to repair it that same day and prevent further damage.

Plans are now underway to repipe the home and replace the ageing pipework.

Happy with how our venting session went today on a block of town houses.

WATER MAIN REPAIR

The customer noticed water pooling beside their driveway and their water meter still spinning even when nothing in the house was running.

After locating the problem we removed a small section of concrete and found the culprit, a failed fitting on the underground water main.

The damaged fitting was replaced, wrapped with Denso tape for protection, and the line pressure tested. The excavation had a significant void from washed away soil, which we filled by washing sand into the hole until it was fully supported.

Leaks like this can waste a lot of water and often go unnoticed until they start showing up on the surface.

If you notice wet ground, low water pressure, or unexplained water usage, it could be a leaking water main.
