It is believed to have started in Ancient Egypt and Babylon around 4000 years ago. A common belief was that the first locks were small and portable and were used to protect goods from thieves who were common along ancient travel routes. Locks back then were not as sophisticated as they are now. Most locks were large, crude and made of wood. However, they were used and worked in the same way as today’s locks. Technology grew, so did the knowledge of locksmiths and tools which changed to suit the jobs at hand. Autolockouts, Keys & Repairs is an owned and operated business in the heart of Christchurch owned by Jordan Weekes. Jordan has worked in the industry for years and has the skills, knowledge and know how to be professional within the industry. Having worked at locksmith companies in the past as well as a mechanics Jordan found combining his two passions gave him the drive and skill set to want to peruse a career for himself to venture out and start a company specializing in automotive car keys and small automotive repairs resulting in Autolockouts, Keys and Repairs.
