The restoration of the Victoria Street Clocktower is something we're proud to have been involved with. This beautiful landmark, damaged in the Christchurch earthquake, got some much-needed TLC. Our in-house engineering team was key in designing a structure that could handle the extra wind loads from the wrapping.

Situated on a busy intersection, our work was visible to everyone in Christchurch. We made sure to listen to feedback from the Christchurch City Council, local businesses, and residents to keep everything running smoothly.

At Upright Scaffolding, we thrive on challenges, and our recent project at Hagley Oval Cricket Ground was no exception.

Providing scaffolding for the camera towers presented a range of obstacles, from ensuring stability for heavy camera equipment to managing time constraints imposed by the client. We designed a bespoke wooden plank platform to minimise friction and optimise camera movement.

Convincing the client of the superiority of the Layher All-round scaffolding system was another hurdle we conquered, showcasing our commitment to innovation and excellence.

RECENT ADVICE WHEN WORKING NEAR POWER LINES By SARNZ
Scaffolders must:
• Treat all lines as live, and ensure no part of themselves, the scaffold tubes they handle or the completed scaffold is within 4m of live lines unless assessed by a competent electrical worker.
• Receive and follow the advice/consent given from the competent electrical worker to manage the risk of electrocution.
• Ensure clients, users of the scaffold and all others (including homeowners) are not at risk from close proximity or contact with powerlines from using their scaffolds.
