Meet our Finance and Admin team:

At Tuatara Structures one of our core values is Sweat, we strive to work hard and to work well for our clients and each other. Our Finance and Admin team embodies every aspect of this value. With their experience and attention to detail, they play a key role in how we deliver for our clients.

Our Finance team oversees the financial operations of the company, from the day to day through to the bigger picture as Tuatara continues to grow. Behind the scenes, the team works closely with our clients, internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.

The Admin team takes care of the office and handles requests from across the business, while also looking after our people and keeping Tuatara a positive place to work. They help to ensure everything stays organised, with the everyday details looked after.

We are excited to be working with Horizon Flowers on a new temperature-controlled facility at their Southland nursery.

Horizon flowers is a Dutch family business that has been growing tulips for more than 50 years. Their New Zealand nursery grows bulbs during our season, which are then shipped to Holland for the European flower market. The new 4,070m² building will house and process those bulbs before they make the trip.

The Horizon team took the time to visit some of our completed projects, and we were grateful for the opportunity to put forward a design and build proposal.

Timing for this project is critical. The building needs to be ready for next season, on an exposed site during one of the windiest times of the year. Our team have planned the build around these conditions so Horizon can be confident it will be ready when they need it.

Thanks to the Horizon team for trusting us with this one. We are looking forward to commencing construction soon.

We are excited to announce we have been engaged by Ovation New Zealand Limited to design and build a new coldstore at their Te Kūiti meat plant.

The new 710m² coldstore will hold frozen finished beef and lamb before it is exported around the world. It will run a shuttle racking system, with robotic shuttles moving pallets along the racks to maximise storage.

Established more than 120 years ago, the meat processing plant is located on a steep site. Creating a level building platform has required specialist engineering to deal with challenging ground conditions, a Cirtex retaining wall system and the relocation of existing gas services. Ovation needed more storage to grow. By partnering with them from the early stages of design, we have been able to find a solution that keeps them on site and set up for growth.

Thanks to the Ovation team for entrusting us with this project. We are looking forward to getting started.

Here at Tuatara, we love to partner with like-minded contractors that are straight up, straightforward and reliable.

Over the last five years, it has been a pleasure to partner with HML ENGINEERING, working together on around 8 projects so far. The team, led by Reece Hamilton and Duncan Hamilton, is quick to respond and easy to work with. They take a collaborative approach to design and build, which makes the whole process smoother from start to finish. They do what they say they're going to do, and their solutions based approach has stood out on projects like Hallmark.

HML design, fabricate and install structural steel for commercial and industrial builds, handling the structural engineering, foundations and precast work that goes with it. Proudly New Zealand owned, they bring over 20 years of experience to every project they take on.

This we are thrilled to share that we have partnered with Filtercorp International Limited on a brand-new design and build solution in Rolleston, Christchurch.

Filtercorp has been a trusted name in New Zealand filtration since 1977, designing and manufacturing dust extraction and air filtration systems for industrial sites across the country. From humble beginnings, the family-run business has grown into a global operation with a presence in the USA, working across industries including dairy, steel, aluminium, cement and wood processing.

Developed by Arumoni Developments as a turn-key solution, this purpose-built facility brings together 1,230m² of warehouse, office, and canopy space, designed with Filtercorp's operation in mind.

Working with the team at Filtercorp during the design phase of this project has been a pleasure. As the project moves through into construction, we are looking forward to bringing you updates along the way!

This week we celebrated Cameron Mclean's fourth work anniversary with us.

Cameron is one of our Senior Project Managers here at Tuatara Structures. He is responsible for managing various trades and resources to deliver multiple large-scale projects for our clients across the South Island.

He works closely with our site managers and construction team to ensure that our projects are tracking on budget and to the programme. He brings with him over 26 years of experience in carpentry and civil-related works.

Cam is a passionate brand ambassador who displays all of the company values, Sweat, Respect, Solve, Care and Enjoy. It's a pleasure to have you at Tuatara Cameron, and we look forward to many more years ahead with you on our team!

This hashtag we're back on site at Fisher Property Ltd on Sir Gil Simpson Drive.

This building will be home to premium, high spec office space for both our team and Monkeytoe Group, with a great outlook over Russley Golf Course once complete.

To date, the project is progressing on time and to budget. The exterior cladding is now complete, and the internal fit-out is progressing well across both levels. Externally, yard prep is underway ahead of the concrete path, with deck board installation starting next week.

Thanks to all our hard working subcontractors who are working hard to get this project wrapped up and completed in the following weeks to come.

Another big year at the Zespri International AIMS Games for Pyes Pa School, and we were proud to back them again as their sponsor.

The Zespri AIMS Games is New Zealand's biggest school sports event, bringing together Year 7 and 8 students from schools across the country and overseas to compete against each other in a wide range of sports. This year's Games were the biggest yet, with over 14,500 athletes from 467 schools competing across 27 different sports in Tauranga.

Pyes Pā also picked up the Kaitiaki Trophy this year, recognising their contribution to the community. Students wrote letters welcoming visiting schools to Tauranga, with tips on local food spots and things to do around the Bay.

We also had our BBQ trailer down at the Games, serving up food for the community. Big thanks to Matt Jackson for taking it along!
