At Optix Electrical, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting the people, teams and events that make Canterbury such a great place to be!

We’re proud to sponsor and support some incredible local organisations and events.

Christchurch AFL Blues – Supporting local sport, teamwork and community spirit. Not to mention our very own Connor is part of Blues Football Club

Hedge Fest – Getting behind an awesome local event that brings people together at the hedge. A premier action-sports and music festival. A mashup of BMX, MTVB and FMX thrills. Watch out for the next one in 2028 👀

Special Children’s Christmas Party – Helping create magical memories and bring smiles to some very special kids and their families.

We’re grateful to be in a position to give back and support these fantastic initiatives and we look forward to helping more of our community in 2027!

Meet Connor! ⚡️

One of our registered electricians and a familiar face at Optix Electrical.

Connor has been Josh’s right hand man, starting at Optix a month into the company hitting the ground running and the pair haven’t looked back since.

If you know Optix, you know Connor. The man behind the multiple hair trends, including style, colour and length the man wants to try them all. He has a good sense of humour, and can talk the hind legs off a donkey!

A few quick-fire questions to get to know Connor himself 👷‍♂️⚡️

Anytime Fitness Halswell — Opening Soon! 🏋️

It’s been great to be part of bringing the brand-new Anytime Fitness at The Acres, Halswell to life!

With doors set to open this Saturday, the Optix team has been busy behind the scenes installing multiple systems throughout the new gym, including:

Access Control — giving members and staff secure, easy access with their key fobs.

Speaker & Sound System — keeping the gym pumping, along with a full PA system 🎤

Security & CCTV — comprehensive CCTV coverage and access, helping keep the gym secure around the clock.

Intruder Alarm System — adding another layer of protection to the new facility.

Some photos from one of our sites this week - ongoing work at a Ohoka residence. Josh and Connor were fitting off exterior lights as well as moving existing heat pumps into the new service area, threading heatpump pipes through the fence. All under the careful eye of Rocky, the residential supervisor 🐶

CCTV alterations at VIP Frames & Trusses.

Replacing a system that’s 13 years old with cameras barely visible. Now with over 20+ cameras the site is well covered and accessible via phone, Mac or PC 24/7 👌🏻
