Pleasant surprise waking up to find a 5 star review on my account.
Then realizing its the 100th review, should really be shared.
This job was a small job, replacing a shower mixer. But its not the size of the job, its how you do it and customer satisfaction that matters.
It was an unequal felton mixer with copper and pressure pipe supplying it in the wall.
Leaving the joint between copper and PVC in a place you can't see is not a good idea.
So replaced the supply pipes up through the wall up into the roofs pace. Won't lie, bit tricky doing it without opening up the wall. But yes, got it done. Customer is happy with the shower pressure and happy.

We install the brands we love and trust for a good reason. Even the brands we love can have the occasional breakdown. We've been installing Dux units for about 6 years because we really like their training days and the direct contact we have with their import staff. This unit, which we installed on a Friday, had problems that very night. On Saturday, we swapped it out for a new one. By Monday, we'd explained the issues, and both the unit and our service call were covered under warranty with hardly any hassle for me or the customer. Thanks, MM Brands and Dux Water Heaters.

There's a bit more to this install then what you can see in the pictures.
- posts go 600 into the ground for siezmic restraints.
- remove low pressure cylinder for more cupboard space.
- new shower mixer.
- air to water heat pump for efficient water heating.
- pressure limiting valve on inlet of house to protect all the fixtures and pipework.
- small diameter direct line to ensuite on far side of house for speedy hot water delivery.

Yes, we can just install a water filter inlet pipe and outlet pipe job done.
Or install it the the same way I would install it in my own home.
First valve is a 4 in 1. Pressure limiting, Isolation, pre strainer, and non-return. If installed without the limiting valve it voids manufacturers warrantee of the filter.
Next is a cross over setup. If anything goes wrong with the filter the home owner can bypass the filter and still have water in their home.
Pipework in copper, swept bends, union style connections lagged with uv resistant lagging.
Sediment filter, followed by carbon filter, then magnetic water conditioner.

HAPPY FRIDAY.
What a way to end it. Got a call from the master plumbers here in christchurch. Their toilet isolation valve leaking so bad that they had to turn the water off to the building.
So good to have the parts in the van and to get their friday 'oh crap' moment sorted.
New valve installed and client is happy.
Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable long weekend.

TGIF.
Got the call at 230 this arvo for a leak on the inlet connection of this filter. The mdf board on the work bench soaked up most of the water over the last week or so.
Once I fixed the leak and punched out for the day sat back and had a beer with the client.
He brought up, in hindsight.... not really the best spot for it. Of course we're going to put stuff on shelf, possibly knock the pipe and start to leak.
They gave me a good idea, pop up pictures of CM Plumbings installs compared to there's.
Was a good idea, so here they are.
Not every house is the same. If you want a filter installed and the job done well give us a call.
