2024 has started at full speed for the team here at Canterbury Builders.
We have an impressive extension underway, a quality renovation and some beautiful finishing on a new build all in full swing.
Sun is shining and we are off to an amazing start to the year.

The craftmanship of our build team on this project is too good not to share.

Check out this Japanese cedar cladding and Rockcote plaster in the Cerano finish.

The skill required to execute this is top notch and we could not be prouder of our team for delivering this beautifully finished cladding.

Choosing paint colours is no easy feat, but the joy of witnessing a room's transformation is undeniably gratifying. Our clients have outdone themselves with their beautifully considered selection of Resene colours for their renovated home.
Thanks Hoskin Painting Specialists for bringing it all to life.

We are now on the homestretch of completing this stunning Fendalton renovation designed by the talented team at Young Architects

🔨🔨🔨 COME VISIT US ON SITE 🔨🔨🔨

The last of the hidden works is being completed on this architectural build in Fendalton.

With all the batons in place and having passed the CCC pre-clad inspection we are now getting the cedar weatherboards and plaster cladding system installed. This will make a tidy envelope where the exciting finishing can begin.

Inside is yet to be insulated which makes this a good time to come and see all the inner workings that go in to a home before it is hidden away with linings, plaster and paint.

We are thrilled to share the exciting progress of our latest renovation project! 🛠️ Canterbury Builders has been entrusted with restoring a stunning Christchurch home designed by renowned New Zealand architect, Heathcote Helmore. 🙌✨

In our endeavour to uphold sustainable principles, we have carefully uplifted and stored the existing flooring in the home. By doing so, we have not only prevented unnecessary waste but also preserved the authenticity of the property.
This thoughtful approach stands to honour the architect's original intent while minimising the environmental impact of the renovation.

We have also utilised recycled timber in certain areas of the home. This eco-friendly choice not only reduces the demand for new materials but also adds a sense of history and character to the space.

We look forward to sharing more of this restoration journey as we create a space that blends the best of the past and the present, celebrating the timeless beauty of Heathcote Helmore's design.
