☀️ MYTH: You need batteries to install solar.

This is a common misconception.

Solar panels and batteries serve two different purposes:

☀️ Solar panels generate electricity during the day.
🔋 A battery stores energy for later use.

A grid-connected solar system can operate without battery storage. The electricity generated can be used by the property while the system is producing, and depending on the system and electricity arrangement, excess generation may be exported to the grid.

That doesn't mean batteries aren't useful.

They can make sense when a property uses a lot of electricity after sunset, when greater energy independence is a priority, or when battery-backed power is part of the system design.

The important thing is that there isn't one solar system that suits everyone.

Good solar design considers your energy use, your property, your existing electrical system and your future needs.
