We’re proud to shine a light on our incredible team of electricians who’ve been hard at work on a landmark project in Auckland — the solar system installation at Go Media Stadium. 🌞⚡

For the past 3 weeks, the team has been onsite, installing the mounting systems that will soon hold approximately 1,700 solar panels across the stadium’s roof. 🏟️ This is no small feat. It takes meticulous planning, technical expertise, and countless hours up high to bring a project like this to life. From sunrise starts to sunset finishes, the dedication and skill on display has been second to none.

This solar installation will not only help power one of Auckland’s iconic stadiums but will also contribute to a cleaner, greener future for the city. 🌱 By harnessing the power of the sun, Go Media Stadium is taking a big step towards sustainability — and we’re proud to be part of that journey.

A huge thank you to the team for their hard work, commitment, and professionalism throughout this project. 👏 We are looking forward to seeing the full system operational and making an impact when it switches on this May. 💡🔋

⚡ Is your switchboard due for an upgrade? ⚡

We recently completed a switchboard upgrade for a client whose old setup was outdated and struggling to keep up with modern electrical demands. As part of the job, we installed a new meter enclosure and ensured everything was properly housed and protected.

During the upgrade, we uncovered non-compliant wiring for lighting and power outlets—something that could have posed a serious safety risk. Luckily, our team was able to rewire and bring everything up to standard, ensuring the home is now safer and more reliable.

We also installed a new main earth connection, providing proper grounding and further improving the overall safety of the electrical system.

💡 Why upgrade your switchboard?
An old or faulty switchboard can lead to electrical hazards, flickering lights, tripping circuits, or even fire risks. If your switchboard is outdated, it's time to consider an upgrade!

🐜⚡ The Shocking Truth About Ants and Light Fittings ⚡🐜

You never know what you’re going to find when you open up a light fitting... but we weren’t expecting a full-on ant village! 🏡🐜💡

Our team recently arrived at a job, ready to replace a standard light fitting. Simple enough, right? WRONG. As soon as we touched it—boom!—a swarm of tiny tenants came rushing out, probably wondering why their ceiling just collapsed.

Turns out, these little guys had prime real estate inside the fixture. Warmth? Check. Shelter? Check. Free lighting at night? Double check. It was an ant penthouse suite!

After some careful (and slightly horrified) evictions, we got the job done—though we’re pretty sure some of them are still sending complaints to their tiny landlords.

🔦 Lesson learned: If your light is flickering, it might not be an electrical issue... it could just be the ants changing shifts. 😂
