Our post last week about the impressive longevity of a toilet cistern prompted one of our clients to ask this question:
"When do you need to look at getting a hot water cylinder replaced? And is there a way to check if it’s likely to give up the ghost?"
Unfortunately, there are no real warning signs except for a leak. However, this is exactly what this client found and we are now working to find them the best replacement solution. So this is a reminder to do a quick check of your cylinder and if you find any issues then give us a call :)

Always check your plumber, gasfitter, or drainlayer is licensed to do the work. Certifying Plumber is the highest registration class available and is what Wim has held since 2013.

- You can ask to see a tradesperson's New Zealand Practising Licence and check the expiry date to see that it is current.
- A plumber, gasfitter or drainlayer can produce their licence via an app on their phone or a physical licence.
- Ask the tradesperson whether they require any supervision and who their supervisor is. You can check the name of the supervisor on the public register to ensure that they are also licensed.
Search the licence number of your chosen registered tradesperson on the public register.

We don’t tend to post too much but this afternoon we completed a small Wc room update with a stunning crystal like floating bowl on a white vanity base, gunmetal high rise basin mixer and pop-up waste. And look at that wallpaper…
