Xteriorscapes had an amazing day at Ayrburn with the Otago members of Registered Master Landscapers New Zealand for their first meet up of the year. Central Otago put on a stunning day for our lunch at the Bakehouse and our guided walk of the grounds with Wintons Landscape Architect, George Watts, who has been involved in this project from the beginning and gave us an enlightening overview of the project. If you are heading to Arrowtown, you must add this destination to your itinerary! Planting doesn't have to be monotone!

While some clients love green and white plants, others love colours and flowers. For our clients who would like a planting plan, we work with them to establish a planting palette specific to their likes and their property, before getting stuck into the design.

The planting in this image features Muehlenbeckia axillaris, Libertia peregrinans, Phormium 'Evening Glow' and Laurus nobilis pillars.

10 Years!

Big shout out to Chris who has recently joined the 10 year club at Xteriorscapes! Chris has been a key member of the team from very early on and worked on some amazing jobs along the way. From large subdivisions to residential projects of all shapes and sizes Chris is multitalented and puts his all into achieving the best results for his clients, making each one look stunning.

Plant Spotlight ~ Ophiopogon japonicus 'Nana'

Also known as Dwarf Mondo Grass, this wee plant is an awesome (and very popular) one! Providing both structure and softness, this evergreen groundcover looks great planted in between stepping stones or at the base of a deck or planter.

Maintenance wise, once established the dense nature of this groundcover doesn't let many weeds through. It is also very hardy...our house is proof that you can walk or kids can ride bikes over it and it looks untouched!

Xteriorscapes has just turned 12!

Its crazy to look back at our first office space where Hayden began as a one-man band, slowly growing the company throughout the years to where it is today. We certainly wouldn't fit there any more!
