MEET THE FINALISTS | CHRISTIAN COX

Christian Cox of Luijten Landscaping Ltd will represent Auckland at Young Landscaper of the Year 2026, brought to you by Registered Master Landscapers New Zealand .

Christian is 25 and has spent five years building his career across paving, decking, pergolas, retaining, excavation, machinery, planting and site coordination.

He entered landscaping with no practical trade background and has developed into an experienced all-rounder with ambitions to progress toward project management.

Christian entered Young Landscaper of the Year to challenge himself and prove that he can compete alongside some of the country’s strongest young landscapers.

The station he is particularly looking forward to is Design.

A proud moment for our Luijten’s team 💚

Celebrating the official launch of the Manurewa Intermediate MI Papakāinga Rural Campus, a project our team poured so much hard work, care, and dedication into from day one.

We are incredibly grateful to have it celebrated in such a meaningful way, and honoured to have it officially opened by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon and Minister of Education Erica Stanford.
