The team got together this morning for our monthly toolbox talk to discuss current contracts, health and safety obligations, training, and our strategy as we look ahead to 2027.

It’s a great opportunity to get everyone on the same page, share updates, and make sure we are all working towards the same outcomes.

We are looking for a few new team members to join us:

📍 Gore – 6 Month Contract

Qualified STMS – must hold the relevant qualifications and experience.

📍 Dunedin

2 x Experienced Drainage Labourers – deep drainage experience is essential.

1 x Class 4 Truck Driver – 6 month contract, carting away spoil on a deep drainage contract.

That’s another week wrapped up!

It’s great our team are starting to put the finishing touches on some of our smaller projects while also beginning the final planning stages for several deep drainage projects coming up soon.

As a team, we always enjoy getting the trench shields in the ground and getting stuck into laying deep drainage pipes.

Here’s our youngest recruit to join the team young Sam Griffith, another Kings High School product coming through the ranks.

Sam finished school on the 21st of August and stepped straight into the Pro Civil environment on the 24th of August.

It’s extremely important to us as a business to bring through the younger generation, pass on important industry knowledge, and help prepare the next generation for the future.

All the best to Sam and the U17 Otago Māori Rugby team on the 10th of October in Kaiapoi.

Here are a few snapshots from the week so far.

There has been a great push from the team this week ( as always ) with a few big ticket items to tick off the list tomorrow, which will see us finish the week on a positive note.

There are some technically challenging projects coming up in the final quarter of 2026, so there’s plenty of planning and preparation underway to make sure we are ready to deliver each project safely and efficiently for our team , our clients and our community of Ōtepoti .

🌎 The steepest street in the world 🌎

At the top of Baldwin Street in sunny Dunedin, we have officially started earthworks on a new 4-lot townhouse development for DRDL Ltd.

This project has been many months in the making, with a huge amount of planning and preparation getting us to the point of finally breaking ground.

Here’s a glimpse in to works so far!!

We look forward to seeing this project develop and take shape over the coming weeks!

🏴‍☠️ Pro Civil & the Pirates 🏴‍☠️

It’s no secret that Pro Civil are proud to be involved with the Pirates and proud to sponsor this great club.

Four plus years in, and we couldn’t be happier to see the club enjoying a cracking season and we are genuinely grateful for the awards and recognition on our end of season awards today.

And a special shout out to young Bryn Carey, who has clocked up his 50th game for the Pirates! Not bad for a six-year-old!

This is what it’s all about.

Our roots run deep in the Ōtepoti community, and we are proud to support the clubs, families and young people who make it such a great place to be.

Pirates , we go again next season.
