Today we held our annual Educational & Training Day at the Fable Hotel.

We continue to choose the Fable because it’s a classy establishment with a fantastic environment and of course, great food to keep our team fuelled throughout the day!

The day gave us an opportunity to step back from the day-to-day operations and focus on the bigger picture. We worked through our mission and vision as a business, discussed how we intend to achieve our goals, and provided an overview of the strategic governance we have in place. This gave our team a better understanding of what is happening behind the scenes and the direction we are taking to move the business forward.

We were also fortunate to have representatives from DCC, ORC, WorkSafe, Heritage NZ, Connexis and Hynds join us and talk to our team about the important role they play in our day-to-day operations.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and share your knowledge with our team. Your contribution was greatly appreciated and gave our people valuable insight into the wider industry and the responsibilities we all share.

We also had a special milestone to celebrate, with Bobby clocking up an incredible 5 years with Pro Civil. Congratulations, Bobby, and thank you for your commitment and contribution over the past five years!

Finally, thank you to everyone involved in making today a success. Days like this are important for bringing our team together, sharing knowledge, reinforcing our direction and continuing to build a stronger business.

There’s been plenty on the go this week.

Here’s a few snaps from some of our sites, with the team making good progress across a range of works despite the change in weather conditions.

One positive from this week is the streets certainly seem a lot safer with the Guvnor in action!

Tomorrow we will tuck away a few hours in the morning before heading into our team training day at the Fable Hotel.

Another great week at the coal face.

The team continues to deliver quality work across Dunedin, and as we slowly creep towards the end of August, the focus is firmly on the months ahead.

In-depth planning is well underway, with new equipment being introduced and new team members joining our team.

This investment in our growth is critical. It gives us the capability to deliver, govern and manage our programmes efficiently, while ensuring our expectations remain aligned with those of our clients and community.

Plenty happening behind the scenes, and plenty more to come.

It was great to get up to Bishopcourt today with a few of the team and watch 3 of our young fellas from Pro Civil play for Zingari colts v Kaikorai colts in the semi finals.

It was great to watch Sean , Will and Sicknote , who had a great game against a gusty Kaik team.

Unfortunately for Zingers , Kaikorai took the spoils and head through to the finals.

Great effort today lads, enjoy the beers tonight!

It’s a big weekend of footy in sunny Dunedin! 💙💛

First up, the Pirates Senior team takes on the Taieri Eels at Hancock Park in the Grand Final. Wishing the lads all the best as they chase the title.

Then on Sunday, all eyes turn to Forsyth Barr Stadium as Otago takes on Canterbury in defence of the Ranfurly Shield.

Go well, Pirates, and go the Golden O's! Here's to a massive weekend of southern rugby.

Winter certainly hasn't slowed down the construction industry in Dunedin. It's been great to see construction sites across the city busy throughout July, with plenty of progress being made across our own projects.

With a productive month behind us and an even busier August ahead, we are looking forward to keeping the momentum going.

A big thank you to our team today. Dunedin turned on some pretty poor weather, but the team still got stuck in and took care of business, just like they always do. We appreciate you all.
