We’re excited to welcome Jake to the Lanark team as our Gateway placement student 🌟

Jake will be joining us each Wednesday over the next few months to gain hands-on work experience and learn more about the plumbing trade (as well as supporting general tasks across our wide-ranging projects - like the work snapped here). He’ll be working alongside our trusted and experienced team to build skills and confidence on site 💪🏼

At Lanark, we’re proud to support opportunities to help young people explore career pathways and gain real insight into the trades.

Another bathroom renovation completed and handed over to two very happy clients!

This project involved a complete bathroom overhaul - removing all existing fixtures and fittings and installing a fresh, modern layout. The new space features a floating vanity, frameless glass shower, subtle patterned splashback tiles, and updated lighting to create a bright, clean, contemporary finish ✨

We’ve recently added a new diagnostic tool to our electrical safety checks - the Klein Pro Thermal Imaging Camera 📷🔥

Some electrical issues can’t be seen with the naked eye, especially inside older switchboards. Loose connections, overloaded circuits, and components beginning to fail often show up first as heat, long before anything becomes visible on the surface.

This camera allows us to:

🔍 identify hotspots without pulling your switchboard apart
⚡ pick up early faults before they become outages or hazards
😰 see which components are under stress
📊 support switchboard upgrade decisions with clear, visual evidence
💪🏼 provide faster, cleaner, non-invasive diagnostics

You can add a full thermal imaging check to any relevant electrical work for just $50 (exc. GST). This is an additional diagnostic tool - not a replacement for standard electrical labour - and it helps give you a clearer, more complete picture of your switchboard’s condition.
