Hello to all - we are having an early winter POP UP sale this weekend, Saturday 13th June and Sunday 14th June - 9am to 5pm.

Autumn is here, and with it comes some beautiful calm, sunny days!

We are having a Pop up sale this weekend, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May. We are open 9am to 5pm both days.

All Maples are reduced by 30%.
All Flowering cherries are reduced by 30%.
All Alders are 1/2 price.
All other trees are reduced by 25%.

Autumn is a great time to plant - allows the trees to settle into their new home before the next Spring/Summer arrives.

The Autumn colours are beautiful around the nursery - still quite a few leaves to appreciate. Come and have a wander through our trees.

Easter is upon us .
We are having another Pop Up sale over this long weekend. Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and we will extend the Pop Up to Easter Monday, 9am to 5pm.

We offer 25% off all our trees - flowering cherries, maples, elms, ash, beech, natives, Robinia, dogwoods, fruit trees and conifers etc etc.

A great time to plan and plant trees - Rodney and I can offer experienced advice on your selection of trees.

End of summer POP UP sale this weekend - Saturday 28th February and Sunday 1st March.
Summer has come and gone - with not a lot of hot summer days to reflect on!
We move into Autumn, and I am hoping for more settled weather for all of us to enjoy. Warm, still days to enjoy and garden.
This weekend we are REDUCING -
- all our fruit and nut trees less 30%. Lots of apple and pear trees to choose from - and still some stone fruit available. A good selection of nut trees - almonds, walnuts, sweet chestnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts.

- all Oak trees less 30%. We have an amazing collection of Oak trees - come and check them out. Pin oaks, Cork oaks, Red oaks, Turkey oaks, Scarlet oaks, Algerian oaks, English oaks, Xalapa oak, Swamp white oaks, Saw tooth oak, Californian black oak, Holm oaks, Portuguese oaks, Leather leaf Mexican oak - come and check them out!

- all our maples less 30% - a great selection to choose from.
Weeping maples, red and green leafed Japanese maples, sugar maples, Canadian Red maples, etc.

Compost - always a valuable commodity for your garden - flowers, shrubs, trees and of course the vegetable garden. Get it spread on your garden now to help keep any valuable moisture in the ground, to help your garden cope with any hot days we will continue to have! Normally $100 per cubic metre - for our POP UP this weekend we have reduced the compost 20% - $80 per cubic metre on Saturday and Sunday.

POP UP weekend again! Saturday 31st January and Sunday 1st February - 9am to 5pm.

Shade trees - we are all still very hopeful for some hot summer weather - we are reducing our most popular shade trees by 30%.
- Horizontal Elm - a live umbrella - forms an amazing shade tree.
Retail $499 - reduced 30% - $349.00 - we will sell them for $300 on Saturday and Sunday.

Prunus - Flowering Cherry - many varieties in stock. Pink or white blossoms. All less 30%.

Gleditsia - maroon, yellow, green leaves - forms a graceful shade tree - reduced 30%.

Dogwoods - medium growing trees perfect for a more confined space. Pink, red or white bracts.

Sophora Microphylla - South Island Kowhai - finefoliage - forms a graceful shade tree. PB 6.5 grade - reduced 30%.

ALL Maples - great selection - all less 30%.

Alders - incredibly fast shelter and they do not mind wet feet. All less 30%.

All the best for 2026 to you all.
Our summer weather has certainly been indifferent over the Christmas break - we have been steady with customers making the most of having spare time - buying trees and compost to enhance their property.

We are open every day over the holiday period - with all the advice you will need to plant the right tree in the right place on your property.

We give discounts on our trees to all customers.

It is a good time to plant, to make the most of the warmer weather to come!!!
Planting now you will gain the benefits of summer growth on your new trees - as long as you are able to WATER them at least twice a week.

The other incredibly important fact is that you must NOT interfere with the roots at time of planting -
- dig a hole twice as big as the size of the container your new tree is in.
- cut the bag off the tree, or very carefully take the tree out of the container and place in the soil - the depth of planting must be to the same level as it is in the bag/ container.
- bring the soil in around the tree and firm the soil .
- water the tree well.
- apply compost around the surface to help retain the moisture and supply nutrients to the tree.
- over the coming summer, the trees need to be watered thoroughly twice a week.

Remember we have great compost - $100 per cubic metre.
We can load your trailer, or deliver at a reasonable cost.

Do hope you all had a restful Christmas with peace and contentment.
The weather continues to be so very changeable - we all have to make the most of the sunny moments.
The rainfall has been crazy - amazing for all our gardens - but enough is enough. Time for some hot sunny days!

We are open today - we will be open every day for anyone wanting trees for their site - we have a very broad range of trees and they are all looking great.
A huge range of fruit trees, maples, oaks, ash, elms, flowering cherries, birch, shrubs, natives, alders, a huge range of conifers, and many more varieties.
We also have a good selection of young plants 20 to 30 cms tall.
Also a good range of gums - small grades.

It is time to compost your garden, which will help retain the moisture and feed your trees. Compost is also invaluable for your vegetable garden.
Our compost is the real McCoy - full of animal manures, lawn clippings, rotted sawdust, rotted hay bales, garden waste - $100 per cubic metre. We can either load your trailer at the nursery, or deliver with our tip truck.
Get the compost on now before the hot summer weather strikes!

Trees of the World is having a POP UP sale this weekend - Saturday 6th Dec and Sunday 7th Dec - 9am to 5pm.
Specials include -
All conifers 30% off
All maples 30% off
All fruit trees30% off
20% off all remaining stock.

Use a live growing Christmas tree this year - we have a huge range of conifers - Spruce, Pine, Tsuga, Cedar, Larch, Abies and many more varieties to choose from.
The conifers can be kept inside for 10 days, water every 2 or 3 days. It can then be kept outside for the rest of the year.
The tree may need repotted in to a larger pot - just feed it a general garden fertiliser and remember to water it twice a week, and it will be ready to bring in for your Christmas tree the next year.
We have 30% off all conifers on Saturday and Sunday.

Our Maples look magnificent right now - a great collection of weeping Maples and ones that grow 3 to 4 metres tall. Colours range from green, reds, yellows - we are discounting all Maples 30% on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank you to everyone who attended our sale - it was most successful.
We have many beautiful trees and shrubs available - come to Trees of the World and have a wander and a browse.
Spring continues with extremely unpredictable weather.
We have been thinking of all of you that have incurred damage from the horrific storm we all had to endure last Thursday - nature sure does throw us events that are tough to cope with.
All of you please take care.
We plan to have the occasional POP UP sale over the months to come - keep an eye on our page for details.
Till then - successful growing season to all.
Remember how important compost is to the health and growth of all plants - trees, shrubs and vegetables. So very important to apply compost to keep roots cool over the summer and retain moisture and stimulate new growth - our compost costs $100 per cubic metres.
