I want to pay tribute to a man that has been instrumental in making Design & Garden Landscapes what it is today. Paul Gillies, you are a friend, and one of the most talented trades people I know. We have all learnt so much off you and we will miss you. For 27 years you have been with us, and man we have had some fun. Ella and I and the Design and Garden team wish you the very best for your next chapter.

This coastal garden is really starting to establish. The feature pool almost falling off the site into the harbour. The simple materials palette is really contrasted with accent plantings and strong lines. A magic garden designed and built by our Award Winning team here at Design & Garden Landscapes

This modern, contemporary garden was designed to work with the home’s existing architecture. A small north-east patio captures early morning sun for quiet moments, while a larger north-west entertaining zone stretches into the evening — complete with bar leaner and wide shiplap walls that double as informal seating.

The shiplap detailing mirrors the home’s cladding, and its subtle imperfections add texture and warmth — a detail the clients truly loved. Natural sandstone paving, laid on a solid base with full grout joints, keeps long-term maintenance to a minimum.
