Another set down.
Before and after shots.
After an hour or so of sucking out several feet of river silt due to many years of flooding from the Clutha River, we were able to reach the barnacle encrusted bolts. Most of these came free surprisingly well considering the environment that they were residing in. Those that couldn't be unbolted were soon dispatched by our trusty AEG cordless grinder. After a bit of concrete plinth shaping to suit the new check valve locations and some creative fitting of the new Gib bolt couplings, we were soon finishing up another set. On to the next one.
