It's a habitable kitset shed finished in bold all-black cladding, tucked into a valley with native bush-covered hills rising behind it.

Multiple roller doors give plenty of drive-through access, and being a kitset build meant the customer had real input into how it all came together, from layout to finish. It's a great example of what's possible when a shed needs to do more than just store gear.

This week's shed is an American Barn kitset out at Coromandel, and the roofline gives it away straight off, with that distinctive barn-style break partway up giving it a lot more height and character than a standard gable.

Finished in black with white joinery, it's got real presence on its site. Being a kitset, it's a good option if you want that American Barn look without the full custom build price tag.
