2018 was a good year for FFNZ accident free our goals were achieved. Our 5 man crew pulled together pumped it out professionally in some tough extra big wood respect!

2019 lets get into it a year of wood ahead of us and a few machines to make it easier.

Future Forestry NZ Ltd is now using drone and artificial intelligent software to do 2 and 3 dimensional true contours mapping and inventory of woodlots.

All maps include Harvest Plans and Hauler settings, area of stand, number of trees (within 95% accuracy) and the average height of trees in the stand (within 95% accuracy).

In the next few months we will be able to create volume of stand in Jas metric cube.

The days of 2 dimensional maps and marvel plots are gone as they are less accurate in measuring the hole stands inventory. The method FFNZ Ltd use is more cost effective than plotting with more advantages.
