We are super proud to support two of our team members as they take part in sporting events this weekend.
JARROD RAE is taking part in the Taupo Ironman this weekend. Yup thats right, he's going to swim 3.9km, bike 180km and run a full marathon (42km). He has been training hard before and after work. We wish him all the very best of luck, we are just so proud of him!
PAUL CRAWFORD is taking part in Lake Kaniere Scenic Triathlon this weekend. He will be swimming in the 2km Open Water swim, a mere doddle after his training swim the other day from Mitchells to Moana!!

Don't Panic!! - We get several queries about this during the coldest months in winter. Sometimes when the outdoor temperature is very low, the outdoor unit can get a bit of ice build-up on coil. To deal with this problem, your heat pump will run an Auto Defrost Cycle.
A Defrost Cycle occurs during heating mode, and is simply the heat pump recognising that ice has formed on the outdoor coils. Defrost mode is needed as any ice build-up on the outside coil reduces the airflow across it, effecting the efficiency of the Heat pump. In extreme cases the ice can cause damage to the outdoor unit.
When the Heat pump goes into a Defrost Cycle, you’ll notice the unit inside will stop heating, the indoor fan will stop or slow. During this process the unit will operate in reverse, for a moment, in the cooling cycle. This action temporarily warms up the outdoor coil and melts the ice build-up. This process usually takes around 10 minutes and then the Heat pump will return to normal function. Do not turn off the machine during the Auto Defrost Cycle.
