Floor Slab Level Verification - QA in Action
Currently on site carrying out a detailed slab level verification survey as part of the project QA requirements.
For this scope, the client specified a grid-based verification approach. We’re walking a predefined, approved grid across the slab, capturing high-density level data to assess surface performance and identify any localised variation.
The data is processed into a heat map plan, clearly showing level fluctuations across the slab and allowing the project team to quickly assess compliance against tolerances.
There are a number of ways to approach slab verification - from digital level runs to floor flatness scanning systems. The methodology ultimately comes down to project requirements, tolerances, and budget. For this project, a grid-based survey provided the right balance of accuracy, coverage, and efficiency.
Every project is different, and our approach is always aligned with the client’s specification to ensure the right level of detail for the job.
Good to be involved in a project where quality assurance is taken seriously and decisions are backed by accurate, site-captured data.
