You tested your smoke alarms for daylight saving, but when was the last time you checked your RCDs?
These are the safety switches that help protect you from electric shock. Today I found three faulty ones in one home. The lights and power points still worked, but the protection couldn’t be relied on.
Press the button marked “T” or “TEST” on each RCD. It should trip and cut the power to the circuits it protects. Then reset it by switching it back on.
If it doesn’t trip or won’t reset, give me a call. That’s your electric shock protection, and you want it working when you need it.
