What looked like a stump turned out to be half a hardwood tree buried in the peat. Exactly the kind of surprise that can turn a simple job into a headache...

Not for this setup though! MeriCrusher made short work of it, with a Waikato Tractors Valtra up front, turning rough ground into something ready for the next job. Pretty satisfying watching a problem disappear that quickly.

There's a reason this Waikato customer now owns two Merlo TF27.6 telehandlers. Watch it work inside a poultry shed where the low overall height, tight turning circle and smooth hydraulic performance make everyday jobs quicker and easier.

A happy Waikato customer has just taken delivery of their second Merlo New Zealand TF27.6. With its low cab height, impressive lifting performance and excellent manoeuvrability, the TF27.6 is right at home inside poultry sheds, where space is tight but productivity still matters.

When customers come back for another Merlo, we know it's doing exactly what it was built to do.

There is no getting away from the fact that the current operating environment is a tough one. Costs remain high, margins are tight and both farmers and contractors are taking a more considered approach to capital investment. Against that backdrop, any machinery brand gaining traction is doing so for a reason, and in the case of Merlo in the North Island, that momentum is being driven by a new partnership that is already starting to find its feet.

We've noticed something interesting at Fieldays.

People walk past.

They look up.
Then they keep looking up.

Turns out a row of bright green Merlo New Zealand machines reaching for the sky is pretty hard to ignore!

If you're heading to Mystery Creek over the next two days, come and see what all the staring is about. We've got telehandlers, Cingo tracked carriers, good yarns, and a team that genuinely enjoys talking machinery.
