Another ceiling completed to a high standard! 👌

The ceiling had new GIB plasterboard installed, followed by professional plastering and careful surface preparation. Once the plaster was dry and ready, it was primed before applying two top coats of quality matte ceiling paint to achieve a smooth, clean and uniform finish.

With an HRV ventilation system in place, extra care was taken around the ceiling vents and fittings to ensure a neat, professional result.

✅ New GIB plasterboard installed
✅ Professional plastering and surface preparation
✅ Primer applied for proper adhesion
✅ Two top coats of matte ceiling paint
✅ Clean, even finish around the HRV ventilation system

The perfect finishing touch to a fresh, modern interior! 🏠✨

– Would You Use Matt or Ceiling Flat?

Today’s painting project has me thinking about the finish!

When painting a ceiling around an HRV ventilation system, would you choose a matt finish or traditional ceiling flat paint?

Both have their place, but the right choice depends on the ceiling surface, lighting, and the finish you want to achieve. Getting those details right can make a real difference to the final result! ✨

💬 I’d love to hear your thoughts!

👇 Tell me in the comments: 1️⃣ Do you prefer matt or ceiling flat for ceilings? 2️⃣ Have you ever noticed the difference after a ceiling was painted? 3️⃣ What would you choose for your own home?

If you’re in Hamilton or anywhere in the Waikato and planning a painting project, let’s talk! 🏡
