🏡 Countryside Reno – Progress Update! 🔨✨

It’s hard to believe these photos are of the same house.

What started as a typical rural home is now being transformed into a modern country residence designed for family living and taking advantage of the incredible views.

One of the things we love most about renovation projects is uncovering the potential that’s already there. By extending the home, reworking the layout, and modernising the exterior, we’re creating something that feels completely new while still retaining the heart of the original home.

The best part? We’re not finished yet.

🏡 PROJECT COMPLETE 🏡

From an empty site to 14 brand-new homes in just 8 months.

We’re proud to officially hand over this 14-apartment development after an incredible journey of planning, coordination, problem-solving, and hard work from everyone involved.

Projects of this scale don’t happen by accident. They require a great team, strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, and a commitment to keeping quality high while maintaining momentum on site.

Over the past 8 months we’ve watched this development transform from foundations and framing into a vibrant new community that will soon be home to 14 families.

A huge thank you to our team and all the trades who contributed to making this project a success. The result is something we’re incredibly proud of.

From demo… to this! 👏🏠🍻. Just a few weeks ago we were pulling this countryside home apart - now the floor is down, the framing is up, and most of the roof is on! Our team have done a wicked job working alongside the great bunch of guys at West Coast Roofing as the marry up the old and new, making sure it all looks seamless. This renovation is getting a full transformation, including a brand new wing and complete interior renovation. The new bones are being married up with the old bones and it’s all starting to look like a home again, and we’re only getting started! 🤩

Countryside Reno!

DAY 1 — DEMO BEGINS 🔨

Today marks the start of something pretty special.

It has been a long time coming for the home owners and the excitement is real! All the pre work has been completed and its now tools time!

We’re kicking off a renovation + extension on this old countryside home — stripping it back before bringing it forward into something new.

There’s always something satisfying about the demo stage… clearing the way for what’s coming next.

Over the next few months we’ll be documenting the full journey:
• Before → After
• Challenges along the way
• Build details most people never see
• The transformation as it all comes together

This one’s going to be a good one.

Behind the design 🏡✏️

Every successful renovation starts with careful planning and thoughtful decisions. At this stage, we’re working through the details — refining the layout, reviewing the plans, and selecting the materials and finishes that will shape the new spaces.

For this renovation and extension, it’s all about creating a cohesive feel throughout the home. From tapware and vanities to lighting, flooring, and fixtures, every element is chosen to work together and complement the overall design.

A few red pen notes on the plans and a curated finishes board are all part of the process as we bring the vision for this home to life.

The details we decide on now make all the difference once construction begins. 👀🏗️

Old Farm Rd – Final Stages in Sight!

We’re excited to share that our Old Farm Rd multi-unit student accommodation development is now heading into the final stages of construction 👷‍♂️

After months of hard work, the project is really coming to life. Exterior works are currently getting completed, interiors are nearly finished, and the spaces are starting to feel like real homes. Kitchens are installed, services are being wrapped up, and the final touches are underway as we push toward completion.

Designed specifically for modern student living, these units deliver smart layouts, durable finishes, and low-maintenance spaces built to last. Seeing the transformation from groundwork to near-finished accommodation has been incredibly rewarding for the whole team.

🚧 Project Update – 14 Apartment Development 🏗️

Things are taking shape on site! The civils, foundations, driveway, and ground floor frames are now complete — a huge milestone for the team. 🙌

It’s awesome to see the structure coming to life after months of planning and hard work. Big shoutout to everyone on site keeping things moving safely and efficiently every day.

👷Apprentice Builder Wanted – Burns Construction (Hamilton, NZ)
Full-time position

Keen to get into the building trade? Burns Construction is looking for an Apprentice Builder to join our friendly team in Hamilton.

This is an awesome opportunity for someone who’s just left school or already partway through their apprenticeship (1st, 2nd or 3rd year). We’re open to different experience levels — the main thing is the right attitude!

🔨 What you’ll be doing

- Helping our builders with day-to-day building tasks
- Using hand and power tools safely
- Keeping the worksite clean, tidy and organised
- Following site safety rules

🙌 We’re looking for someone who:

- Is reliable, honest and shows initiative
- Has good practical skills and a can-do attitude
- Holds a NZ driver’s licence
- Is a New Zealand resident (must have NZ residency to apply)
- Is physically fit and enjoys hands-on work
- Works well in a team and communicates clearly
- Is keen to learn and complete their apprenticeship paperwork
