Pictures don’t really show the effort that went into this one. It was a garage ceiling repair. All the joins had cracked and sunken in. 3 coats and touch ups later, and it came out just like a new one…

So much drama and effort has gone into this. The profiles of the new and existing cornice didn’t match. So with some quick thinking from one of the building apprentices, we put a timber bead and the bottom of the cornice, and pulled the top of the new cornice off the ceiling by about 6-7mm and stacked it with plaster. Now you can barely tell where the old joins the new cornice. Absolute bastard of a job for all involved. Thankfully it’s all up now.
