⚡ ELECTRICIAN WANTED ⚡
Are you the electrician everyone calls when the other electrician says, “Yeah… nah, that’s a bit tricky”?
We’re looking for a qualified or near qualified electrician to join our team — someone who knows their way around a switchboard, can fault-find without needing a séance, and doesn’t run screaming when a job turns out to be a little more interesting than the paperwork suggested.
🔌 WHO ARE WE?
We’re a family-owned electrical business that’s been in business for 30 years. Based in Hawera, Taranaki.
We’re predominantly rural and farm-focused. Alongside our rural work, we also take on residential, commercial, heat pump and solar projects.
One day you could be wiring a new home, the next chasing a fault on a farm, installing a switchboard, or helping put solar on someone’s roof.
Basically… you won’t be bored.
🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Your days could include:
⚡ Rural & farm electrical work
⚡ Residential electrical work
⚡ New builds & renovations
⚡ Fault finding & repairs
⚡ Maintenance
⚡ Switchboard upgrades
⚡ Heat pump installation and repair
⚡ Solar installations
⚡ Working alongside a great bunch of sparkies
⚡ Talking to customers without making them feel like they need an electrical engineering degree
And yes, occasionally you may be required to explain to someone that the reason their power isn't working is because the switch is off. 😂
👷 WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You’ll need to be:
• A qualified or near qualified electrician with a current NZ practising licence
• Safety conscious (we like our employees alive and in one piece)
• Someone who takes pride in their workmanship
• Good with customers
• Able to work independently when required
• Reliable, organised and punctual
• A good communicator
• Someone who can have a laugh but still knows when it's time to get the job done
• A full NZ driver's licence
• Keen to upskill
