Well it's noice, it's different, it's unusual! And this isn’t bought too you by Kath and Kim, but rather a purveyor of fine… tractors!

If you’ve been past the suburban Ashburton branch lately, you might have spotted this unique looking tracked tractor, or a crawler if you want to get technical about it, sitting outside.

Renowned for their low ground pressure, high traction and smooth ride quality, these machines really are all about protecting the ground. Not only can they pull bigger implements, but with VarioDrive continuous variable transmission, or CVT if you’re in the know, they can go from 20m/hr up to 40kph.

If you are someone who’s spending a lot of time in the fields, and are looking for something that’s going to set you apart, then this needs to be on your must-see list.

Gosh, its almost as good as a statue of little baby cheeses!

Show season is starting to ramp up. So you might see us out and about over the summer months.

This weekend you’ll see us at two shows,

🚜 Ellesmere A&P Show at the Ellesmere Showgrounds on Leeston Road is being held on Saturday.

🚜 AgFest in Greymouth on the West Coast at the Aerodrome for both Friday and Sunday.

If you are thinking of heading to either show, scope out the team and say hi.

We thought why not, let’s sneak in a little mid-week, celebratory delivery post!

And a name synonymous with tractor sales in Southland, Geoff Sadlier has been busy at it again.

This time to Inglenook Farms, just outside of Invercargill. Barry and his son Tim were on hand to take the keys of their new Fendt 620.

And for comparison, they parked it next to their TEA which was purchased new many, many years ago! In fact, it was one of the first TEA’s sold new in Southland.

Happy to y’all!

Our Timaru branch has been cranking out the sales with sales rep Warren handing over the keys many a happy customer lately.

Out on farm, Graham from Van’t Klooster Farms took delivery of his 7s180 dyna 6.
And then we welcomed young Oliver of Oliver Jones Contracting to the branch to collect his new 7s145 tractor.

Sales rep Shaun has hit the ground running, nailing another sale at our Gore branch.

Tom from Dawkins Livestock Ltd whipped into town and picking up the keys to their new Valtra T175 Versu on last Friday.

He really enjoyed the trip home to the farm, calling up to let us know how smooth and quiet the ride was, he's found the smart touch controls easy to get his head around, looking forward to using the GPS to put some fertilizer on.

Here’s to another happy client.

And ol’ Warren has been out and about dropping new tractors off around the central South Island again.

This time in Lake Tekapo, the Simpson family of Balmoral Station have taken delivery of a new Fendt 618.

And if you’re lucky enough to stay at The Cairn Alpine Resort, you just might see it whip by.

Today we're celebrating our woman of the hour, Evelyn Sadlier of our Gore branch! Evelyn is celebrating a whopping 37 combined years with JJ Limited.

Evelyn started in the mid-80s as office admin with a bit of parts woven in, back when we were stocking only Massey Ferguson and Kubota. This was well before Fendt and Valtra even joined the line-up (so yes, she's earned this Valtra photo). She was employed by Eion Sadlier, which is also how she met her husband Geoff. Not a bad outcome for a job interview.

Back then it was a typewriter and manual, paper-based sales orders, parts orders and invoices. Since then, she's watched the computers and advanced sales and invoicing systems roll in and taken the lot in her stride.

After 12 years with the branch, it was time to pause, raise a family and focus on her squash and the social aspects of living in Gore.

After 25 years back in the branch, these days you’ll find Evelyn as our Office Administrator, looking after the team on the ground, health and safety, and making sure everyone has what they need to do their job.

Branch Manager Danie Van den Heever says:
"I've had the pleasure of working with Evelyn for almost 7 years, and it's been great to have you as part of the team. Your dedication, hard work and commitment as Admin lead has made a huge difference over the years, and I'm sure there are not many things at JJ Limited Gore that you don't know how to sort out!

Thank you for all the help, support and laughs along the way. 12+25 years is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the contribution you've made to JJ Limited."

It’s always a good day at JJ’s when there’s a new delivery. And ol’mate 3rd year apprentice Seb has been charged with making the roadside display at the Invercargill branch look top notch!
