CSK had the privilege of joining a fantastic team from DOC and the Tasman Bay Guardians in carrying out an Inanga spawning survey this week. So great to check out these historic spawning sites and get a better understanding of this treasure and it's present state. Whitebait, how can we protect this national icon?

10 farms, 10 waterways, 9559 locally grown native plants. Thanks again to the farmer led Karamea Catchment group, all the farmers involved and the epic team of planters and growers at Clean Streams Karamea!! What's next? 3500 native plants to be planted at the Karamea estuary on behalf of KEEP (Karamea Estuary Enhancement Project) and another 16,000+ holes to dig (and fill) at the Oparara reserve (Oparara Source to Sea Project) watch this space for upcoming community events!! Let's go! 🌱🌱🌱

Oh my goodness what a cracker week! Big ups to the Karamea Catchment group! Clean Streams Karamea have planted 9 of the ten farm riparian sites planned this round, one more next week!! Let's go! Plant survival and thriving waterways xx

The A team were at it again yesterday in the pouring rain, 750 plants in before midday and the first rumblings of thunder! 😬⚡️These plants will enhance the habitat for the local birdlife including bittern, kotuku and spoonbills that hang out at the Jones farm wetland.
