The piece of driftwood is almost complete.
What a mission with the knots and holes, but the outcome is a cool serving platter that is rustic with the " just off the beach bonfire look to it"

A new project, this was a piece of a old railway sleeper (I think) that was found on the beach by "Muddy Feet" (Fishing guru and content creator on You Tube)
He has asked me to make a rustic looking serving platter / chopping board.
A few challenges, it was very hard wood to cut and has suffered a bit of rot in the wood knots.
We will win this one, some resin and scorching will make this last a lifetime!!

We were given a nice slab of Macrocapa this week thanks Andrew Leys so now it's time to saw it into the right lengths and the get it milled through a bandsaw.
We have allowed for a 500mm wide professional BBQ board, these will be epic so keep a eye out!
