We've enjoyed building in Leeston so much, that we've continued with the 'build local' theme this year!

Adrian really enjoys the community aspect of building in Leeston. Being such a small and friendly township, there are always new connections and friendships being made throughout the build process. Our children love to be able to walk down to visit Dad at work and less travel time means that we all enjoy a little more family time.

In addition to our group housing contracts, this year we have completed two homes in Leeston, with a third build almost ready to begin. One of these local projects was completed for a private client, while the other was our own design-and-build project, which has just been brought to market.

We have started 2025 with another build in Leeston - we really enjoy building in our little township.

This is a three-bedroom home that we built from existing plans, rather than our own design. We love the huge full-height windows in the living area - it was cosy without any heating on, even on the cooler days we've had.

This home sold before it went to market, thanks to Stephan Knowler - McRae & Knowler Selwyn and the new owners whom we had the pleasure of working with towards the end of the build.

This week is completion week for our current Leeston build! A little more landscaping to go and it will be a finished project for us.

It has been a super cosy home to pop into in the final weeks of work here, with the under tile heating and ducted heat pump system keeping things warm while the sun has been in hiding.

Things have been running smoothly with our current Leeston build, we're grateful to have a great team of subcontractors helping to keep everything on track.

The exterior of the house is almost complete and the interior is well on its way too with tiles laid and the joinery complete. Carpet, driveway and landscaping are next up.

Our next Leeston build is underway - it is a four bedroom, triple garage home designed for lots of natural light.

The foundation and floor are down, frames and trusses are up, with roof and windows now on the go.

We expect it to be ready to move into in July - a warm home to move into for Winter.

Our Leeston build has been completed and the new owners were able to move in in time to spend Christmas in their new home.

It is a four-bed home with two bathrooms and two living spaces. We look forward to seeing the home with landscaping completed (the owners opted to do this themselves).

We have enjoyed a Christmas break and have another Leeston build coming up, amongst our contract building work. Expressions of interest are welcome.

12/11/2023

The next steps are compelete on our Leeston build - windows are in, cladding is up and exterior painting is underway. Lots of sun pouring in those North-facing windows for living, lounge, kitchen and master bedroom.

Inside, the insulation and gib is up and plastering is complete. Plumbers, electricians, interior painters and tilers will be busy inside next.

Well on track for a pre-Christmas completion.

Things are moving smoothly and steadily with our Leeston build. We had a taste of Spring in Canterbury for a couple of weeks - sunny days and lighter evenings made for good progress.

Photos of frames up and roof on. Next up will be windows and cladding, and we will start to see it look like a house!

Our page has very been quiet, but we have been very busy with contract building in Ashburton, Southbridge, Rolleston, Lincoln, Halswell, Belfast and Rangiora.

We have recently started another of our own design and build projects, this one being in Leeston. Adrian always enjoys these projects where he is able to take on all aspects of the design, the build and the project managing. And with this project, the family is loving having Dad work so close to home too.

This will be a linea (weatherboard look), four bedroom, triple garage home set on a 650m² section in Woodbury Estate, expected to be completed by December. It will be advertised for sale closer to completion, however our real estate agent will be happy to discuss any earlier expressions of interest. A throwback to a client build last year in Rolleston. The client had purchased the land and had a vision for their home. We were priviledged to work with them in creating a design that reflected their vision and then building their new home.
