Pete's Corten Steel hack

* 2 litres of warm water
* ½ cup sea salt (or rock salt)
* Stir until fully dissolved.

Spray or brush it generously onto clean steel. Let it dry, then repeat several times over a few days. Alternating wet and dry cycles speeds up the rusting.

To accelerate it even more, you can make a second mix:

* 1 litre white vinegar
* ½ cup hydrogen peroxide (3%) (optional, but speeds things up)

Spray the salt solution first, let it become tacky, then mist with the vinegar mix. Don’t rinse it off—allow it to weather naturally.
