🏆 GOLD & CATEGORY WIN FOR RMR DECORATORS! 🏆
We’re incredibly proud to have received Gold and the Category Win in the Multi Living – Interior category for this outstanding project.
It was a privilege for RMR Decorators to be part of this project alongside Palmer & Cook Developments and a fantastic team who brought it all together.
A special acknowledgement to Palmer & Cook Developments Mark Cook, whose passion for the design and overall vision helped shape the project; Palmer & Cook Developments Curtis White, for his organisation on site and coordination of the subcontractors; and Palmer & Cook Developments Kevin Yaxley, whose role as Site Manager kept the project running smoothly from start to finish.
Our RMR Decorators team carried out the:
• Metal ceiling batten installation
• Plasterboard fixing
• Plastering
• Interior painting
From the beginning, this was a standout project and one our team is extremely proud to have contributed to.
The interior was finished using Dulux, with a clean and modern colour palette throughout the dwellings:
Walls: Opononi Half
Ceilings: Mt Aspiring Quarter
Doors, windows & trim: Mt Aspiring Quarter – Semi Gloss
The finished result is fresh, modern and beautifully cohesive throughout.
A huge thank you to the entire RMR Decorators team and everyone involved in delivering such an exceptional project. A Gold and Category Win is a fantastic result and a great recognition of the workmanship, collaboration and attention to detail that went into it. 🏆

The countdown is on…. A big thank you and shout out to Davma Construction Ltd, Kiwi Built and Palmer & Cook Developments for allowing us to enter in the work we have done on their clients properties and developments for the Master Painters Excellence Awards 2026….

A big thank you to our Manager Hannah Lacey, Harry Draper for your support along the journey and of course our amazing team in getting these entries across the line to be able to enter them! Today marked a milestone for our apprentice Jarod Sharp. After three years of hard work he has earned the title of Commercially Competent Painter and Decorator. A core member of the RMR team, he has been with us throughout his apprenticeship - from start to finish - Trade certified. We are extremely proud of this achievement and look forward to seeing what he can achieve in the future!

RMR Decorators' team has once again demonstrated their expertise in delivering outstanding results, from plasterboard fixing and plastering to interior and exterior painting. Offering a wrap around service that we are proud of along with Licensed Building Practitioners and specialising in Multi Developments. This development showcases exceptional workmanship, highlighted by feature walls and precise finishing.

And it's a wrap - another year of judging completed for the Master Painters Awards of Excellence 2026. Some amazing work was completed and wouldn't be able to be assessed without the Team at RMR Decorators.

A shout out to Mark at Davma Construction Ltd, Corey at Kiwi Built, Mark, Kevin and Curtis of Palmer & Cook Developments for the opportunity to showcase our hard work.

We would just like to thank the Property Owners for allowing us to enter their homes into the categories and allowing the judges to come through and complete their evaluations.

RMR Decorators is undertaking a recent exterior project that requires the garage to be treated with a specified Fire Rating Coating due to its proximity to the property boundary lines.

The product is a textured form of paint and applied to the substrate with an air less sprayer. The first 2 coats are required to cure for 2 weeks before the final top coat is applied.

The team have enjoyed the challenge that this has presented in applying the product.

Our company culture places great emphasis on monthly team meetings, which serve as a platform to discuss vital issues like Health and Safety and recognize employee excellence through our Employee of the Month award. During these meetings, team members enjoy a cooked breakfast while sharing their accomplishments and outlining goals for the forthcoming period, which significantly contributes to enhanced team morale and unity.
