Topland Construction Limited is a small local family-run business operating in the Wellington/Lower Hutt region for the last 11 years. We specialise in major renovation project management. Topland are known for an exceptionally high standard of workmanship and for completing projects within the set timeframe and budget.
We are looking for a Leading Hand Carpenter to run a small crew of one to three. We are looking for someone who can take control, is ambitious and has a passion for the residential renovation market. The ideal candidate will be someone looking at the management side of building in the not-too-distant future. You would be supported and working closely with our project manager looking to take over this role while progressing the next leading hand.
You will be expected to be working on the tools yourself keeping production and quality standards high, while overseeing your crew.
The successful candidate will have the following:-
• Extensive experience working in residential renovations sector essential
• Trade qualification in carpentry and LBP
• Must be self-motivating and a self-starter
• Must be able to work under pressure, meeting daily and weekly targets
• Must be able to communicate with team, subcontractors and clients
• Experience in CoConstruct or similar project management software preferred
• Computer skills
• Tools and own vehicle
• Able to pass a drug and alcohol test
• A great attitude and adaptable mind-set
