Revisiting a Petone landscape transformation from a couple of years ago. The brief was to create an outdoor space for the whole family to enjoy all year round with different spaces for entertaining. After removal of an existing garage, a new pool was lifted into place. New veneto grigio pavers were laid up to a granite pool coping. A pool house was installed at one end of the pool, complete with an outdoor shower. The pool has an automated pool cover hidden beneath a raised deck at the other end of the pool. Ideal for sunbathing and diving into the pool.
Pool fencing was finished off with clear glass panels.
A new deck was built out directly from the house with transitional steps leading down onto paving and a lawn. Stepping stones set into the lawn lead to an outdoor fireplace under a louvre roof. Planter boxes create separation of space and new planting finishes off the design. Thanks Jason and Kirstie. It was a real pleasure transforming your property for you and your family.

A newly completed small courtyard highlighting what small LED lights can do to enhance a space. Built in timber planter boxes with a wide seat for lounging. Horizontal slats create a sense of space. Firth black sands flagstone pavers with contrasting grey grout also create an illusion of space.

The brief for this build was to create an area for entertaining outdoors with a link to the house. Groundbreakers Landscaping Ltd designed and built this wonderful extension to the clients living space. We extended and reclad the old kwila deck, created an outdoor room with a clear polycarbonate roof to allow light into the house. Shutters were built into the sides of the extension and a bespoke kitchen/bbq space was created. The kitchen includes custom made granite benchtop, garapa slat fascia with built in cabinetry, a fridge and sink to accompany the built in BBQ. An entertainers dream. Down from the deck, granite pavers in two shades create a space for the spa pool and outdoor dining. A new lawn, custom built seating and planting finish off the space. At night the space comes alive with subtle lighting. A wonderful job to be involved with.
