We started at 4:30 this morning and are just heading home now, we had a couple of quiet hours in the middle. Praying the snow doesn't bring more damage.

THANK YOU TO OUR LOCAL AND EXTENDED POWERNET TEAM. On behalf of Added Energy and our valued clients we want to thank you for your hard work restoring power under such extremes. We have started an open $500 tab at Route 6 Cafe for anyone in a powernet uniform to stop in for a free coffee and cheese roll until the tab runs out. If anyone else wants to join in then feel free to add to the tab and keep it going. These people are often unseen but we rely on them so heavily so let's show them how much we appreciate them.

Day 4 and my truck says its been running nearly 11 hours today. Only one customer still with a generator on so hoping this madness ends soon. I do enjoy my job though.

This afternoon we will be welcoming Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery Hon Mark Mitchell MP into the region. At 3:30pm, he will be joining our Controller and the Chief Executive of PowerNet, Paul Blue for a media standup. This will be live streamed here on our page🤞

It has been an almost overwhelming time over the last 3 days with running back and forth between cowsheds and pumps but as power is progressively being restored we thought it was a good time to acknowledge some great folks around us.
Starting with our team here, while we were both on tools and very busy, Ruan, Niel, Dandre and Sarah have gone above and beyond to help and even Marinda our office lady has been keeping the admin support going from home with a brand new baby.
On behalf of several very grateful farmers, we have to thank Jimmy Dillon, Richard Bullmore and Denis Heenan for sharing their precious generators. And special thanks to Ali-Dig for not only providing but also modifying his huge new generator for the Mossburn Community Centre.
Lyndon Duff, Daniel Cockery and Mike and Jodi Breen all kept our generators and tow vehicles full of fuel when we had no options.
Art Blom, Dave and Justin McLean, Daren Day and John Douglas all shared their big plugs and cords so others could get running.
Satinder loaned us a trailer to move a generator which has done 600km between 5 farms now.
And then today Route 6 Cafe said they were providing free coffee and food to our local Powernet heroes and ourselves.
It is very satisfying being able to help so many people and it couldn't happen without all those above, what an awesome community and team.
Again, a huge thanks to you all from Gary and Naomi.
