If you're thinking, all these blooms look like the same... You'd be right! This is a tree seedling we've been watching since day one of taking over the collection, and now we're considering it for registration. The photos show the blooms over the last 3 years. We are watching hundreds of tree seedlings and have thousands of seeds planted, but maybe only a possible 0.1 percent of these plants will ever be worthy of following through to an official registration standard. This is how we retain the best, strongest and healthiest plants for the garden. Great things take time!!! What's your thoughts on the tree?

The team behind the scenes!!!
We've just had Elzie staying with us for a holiday so we put her straight to work... First job was bullrush harvesting, after the pond was frozen over for a couple of weeks, perfect chance to get it done, unfortunately my "below the knee" estimate was a little of an under estimate.. 😂 We have a few market stalls planned this spring including the Botanical Expo in Lincoln, so Elzie (artistic legend) is whipping us up some signage. The nursery is coming to life and we have many new interesting plants and trees this season, also the Tree Peonies are really budding up now...We've also been playing with willow on wet days, learning and creating new techniques with the awesome Carla de Boer at Basil and Baylys
I'm considering taking up pirating after an eye injury, all good though!

An extremely physically and mentally taxing April/may, digging, dividing, moving, and replanting, a section of Tree Peonies. (Over 120 trees lifted)
We are still smiling, (and talking), ready to get tree divisions out to customers!
An apology to all our followers who received the catalogue and had issues, I am so sorry, and really hadn't anticipated there could be so many issues with opening it! We've had help over night and hope you all now have it emailed in some state of readability. We will be absolutely going to a website from here on in! As we mentioned we will continue to offer new varieties each season, working methodically to organise the trees into more organised and wider rows.
Please continue to be patient with us, we are really trying to work through all the emails asap! I take my hat off to all you techy, computer IT wizards, I wouldn't change from being a plant geek / gardener for all the money in the world!
