UPDATE 6pm Wed 14 Dec
Road contractor has updated, road is open but lots of debris along a km of road. They will continue cleanup tomorrow and Downer will have to culvert blast along this section.

ROAD CLOSED - PIPIRIKI RAETIHI ROAD
Due to a large mud flow, Pipiriki Raetihi Road is currently closed at 18.5km, 6km before Pipiriki
Contractors are attending to this slip and the road will be opened as soon as practicable.
