This garage was built without consent so we worked in with the client, architect and council on getting this studio up to standard and to get it's CCC (Certificate of Completion and Compliance)

What truly sets this conservatory apart is how effortlessly it fits into the flow of daily life.

Whether it’s used as a sunlit breakfast room, or a space for entertaining or dinner. It adapts beautifully to every occasion. With its solid cedar joinery helping to open the space up with ease with the sliding doors. Accompanied with cedar cladding to give it a more natural look and match in with the existing house and cladding.

We also were asked to incorporate a Japanese inspired step (Engawa) designed and constructed using cedar, working in with the garden and plants to complement the conservatory's structure, making transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces feel natural and fluid.

Our client didn't want a gutter, he really liked the idea that the run off water would imitate a waterfall on this small side of the roof. Proper drainage has been put in to accommodate for this. Very happy with how this turned out.

Another special bathroom renovation under our belt. This one was a goodie from start to finish!

Working in with the clients on their vision and how everything should come together. Giving them a real insight into how bathrooms are renovated and helping us from the start. They had the pleasure of doing the demo and seeing what lay beneath the tiles...

Old tiles normally don't have waterproofing underneath which causes the floor framing to rott. This was the case here, where the flooring was all rotten. It was pulled up and replaced with marine grade plywood and some framing replaced to make it sound.

Fall was created in the shower area to ensure the correct water run off. Old window removed, recessed cabinet installed. Everything else went together perfectly. To finish it off the client - a very talented artist, painted a mural straight onto the wall.

We couldn't be happier with this gem of a bathroom and how it turned out 👌✅️

If you spot a dodgy bog repair on your house it's worth having it looked at!

This is normally the result of someone doing a repair using builder's bog on a hole or a rotten timber area or old window putty allowing water to enter into the bottom of the window frame.

Doing it with the wrong product can lead to water entering into the exterior cladding and slowly rotting out the area which can then leak into the framing causing even bigger problems.
If the hole is too big timber needs to be spliced into the hole to fill it. Then use a two part epoxy to fill excess gaps and to ensure water is kept out.
If a smaller hole, the rotten area cut out. The area treated with a special rott treatment and then using the epoxy to fill in the area.
Finally sanded off and painted with an oil based paint proper to seal.

This job started from a piece of old bog that lead to the whole corner needing to be replaced framed and fixed.

Great landscaping job we had the pleasure of creating.

Transforming a very hard to use, steep section at the back of a property into a usable area with easy safe access.

Digging out and constructing steps using H4 treated timber, filling in with hardfill, w**d mat and finishing off with nice waikato pebble for a fresh look and making it barefoot friendly.

Client is very happy and now able to reach all parts of the garden and make proper use of the back section.

As well as relaxing in the hammock!🌴🙂👌

We had the pleasure of upgrading this ensuite for some lovely clients in Eden terrace:

-Plan discussed with clients for new layout
-New bathroomware discussed what would work and purchased by clients
-Subcontractors organised
-Demolition of old ensuite
-Re framing for new shower, recessed mirror cabinet and other framing constructed
-Electrical and plumbing preline in
-New floor framing constructed to lift it up to level and match in with existing floor
-Plasterboard fixed on to walls
-Shower installed
-Plastering and painting complete
-New kauri flooring laid
-Floor sanded and polyurethaned
-Plumbing and electrical items finished off
-Final bathroomware fitted off

There is a lot more to the process but this is the main outline. It pays to have someone that knows what to do and make sure the ball keeps rolling.

I made some coasters out of some of the offcuts of flooring and gave to the clients at the end of the job. They were stoked! Coincidently, she had made me a fruit loaf! These small things is what makes it all worth it and we are fortunate to work with such great people :)
