Something new for the team in the past week. Installing a culvert under railway tracks. Culverts leading up to the lines was done and ready for the weekend when we're able to pull out the railway lines, continue the culvert. Reinstate the rail tracks before the first train rolled back through on Monday morning. Awesome work done by the team.

Great night at the CCNZ awards. Taking out 1st place in the category 2, projects with the value between $200k and $1m for our SH2 White Pines Underslip job. And Connor taking out 2nd place in the regional excavator competition.

Thanks to all our guys and girls that worked on the white pine bush drop out. They made light work of this job working day and night to have as little disruption as possible to traffic flow. Job finished well under the target time. Well done

Great to be able to help out in some way for the Wairoa community

A truck and trailer load of our kiln-dried firewood made its way up to Wairoa yesterday to help the residents affected by last week’s flooding dry out their homes. A big shout out to Galbraith’s Earthmovers Ltd and legendary driver Billy Owen for taking the load up to Wairoa, and to Ngāti Pāhauwera Development Trust for reaching out and co-ordinating delivery. Two further loads of logs are planned for next week. Kia kaha Wairoa 🔥

Top work from 2 of our top operators today. Connor and Tom both competing in the Regional Excavator Operator Competition against 12 other competitors. Connor has come away with being placed in the top 3. Now we just have to wait until the 3rd of November to get the final results. Really proud of both guys. And congratulations to everybody else that had entered.
