Standing at the Clive Junior Rugby prizegiving today was one of those moments that really hits you. Seeing a hall full of kids buzzing with energy, proud of their season, and wearing Hanrahan Civil across their chest… it’s honestly humbling.

It’s easy to think of sponsorship as just logos and support, but today made it clear it’s so much more. It’s being part of a community that backs its kids. It’s watching them grow in confidence, celebrate their mates, and learn the values that make Clive rugby club such a special place — teamwork, grit, and pride in where you come from.

Seeing so many young players walking around with our brand on their shirts doesn’t feel like advertising. It feels like responsibility. It feels like connection. It feels like being part of something bigger than the work we do on site.

Hanrahan Civil is growing fast, and we’re on the hunt for a top‑tier Final Trim Excavator Operator who knows their way around Topcon GPS like it’s second nature. If you take pride in precision, operate with calm confidence, and can deliver millimetre‑perfect results even under pressure, you’ll fit right in with our Hawke’s Bay crew.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in final trim excavation
• Strong capability with Topcon GPS systems (set‑out, design loading, troubleshooting)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a tight, supportive team
• High standards of workmanship, safety, and communication
• Someone who shows up, gets stuck in, and represents the company well on site

What You’ll Be Doing

• Final trim work for civil construction projects across Napier, Hastings, and wider Hawke’s Bay
• Operating modern, well‑maintained machinery
• Working alongside project managers, foremen, and other operators to deliver quality results
• Helping maintain a positive, professional culture on site

Another day closer.
House site 33 and 34 out of 34 now all but finished — plus a community centre.
