It’s really important not to overload your septic system - especially catching up on washing after returning home from a holiday away or after wet weather!

Too many loads of washing in one day can push more water through your system than it can safely handle.

Here’s how to help your system cope:

Spread washing loads across a few days

Keep showers shorter where you can

Fix any dripping taps or running toilets

Avoid doing multiple water-heavy tasks at once

These small steps make a big difference in keeping your wastewater system running smoothly — and avoiding costly issues down the track.
