π₯ Big projects are underway at Nelson Hospital, and we're proud to have been part of the team that made the start of this one happen safely.
ANL were engaged to manage the removal of an asbestos and heavy metals contaminated soil at the new TIPU site, working alongside ISAACs Construction π€ and under the principal contractor Southbase Construction. πͺ
β οΈ This wasn't your average job. Co-contaminated soil containing both asbestos and heavy metals meant every step of this project demanded precision, planning, and a zero-compromise approach to safety.
π» Following specific methodologies, specialist plant loaded directly into double-lined disposal trucks under continuous suppression... no shortcuts, no dust, no risk.
π¬ Independent air monitoring and clearance sampling was carried out throughout by a Licensed Asbestos Assessor, and disposal was managed to a consented facility under full regulatory compliance.
π Extensive H&S documentation was in place from day one; risk registers, task analyses, works methodology, competency registers, and a full WorkSafe notification. Because that's how we do things. β
π Huge credit to the ISAACs and Southbase teams for their professionalism on site, it's what happens when everyone takes health and safety seriously.
At ANL, we don't just remove asbestos, we manage risk. π¦Ί
