It’s been a busy few months at Ōpunakē High School. 🔨

Since early this year, our team has been working through a staged programme of roofing, cladding, structural and internal works.

The Taranaki weather has thrown a few curveballs along the way, but we’re now in the final stretch and on track for an October finish.

Another successful school project completed 🏫✅

We recently completed a full re-roof of the covered walkways connecting blocks A, D & C at Ōpunakē High School, along with new spouting, flashings, improved drainage, and a brand-new entrance canopy to create a more weatherproof space for students and staff.
Just one of a number of projects we've got at Opunake High at the moment - great to see this one ticked off. A great result that's built to last. 🔨

👮Great to see the wrap removed, revealing the completed refurbishment of Stratford Police Station.

The project included a reconfigured warm roof system, new HVAC services, upgraded egress, accessibility and security improvements, and seismic strengthening works throughout the building.

Early works are underway at Manukorihi Intermediate. 👷

As we prep to kick off these roofing & cladding works, one of the first steps has been the careful removal of these Whakairo (carvings).
They’re now being safely stored while construction takes place and will be reinstated once the project is complete.
It’s all part of ensuring these important taonga are protected throughout the build.
