A house plan can tick every box — three or four bedrooms, two bathrooms, double garage and open-plan living.
But there are two questions that matter just as much:
Does it work for the way your family lives? And does it work on your section?
Your land has its own sun, views, wind, access and planning requirements. A plan that works beautifully on one section may need quite different thinking on another.
That's why we see standard house plans as a starting point. Use them for ideas, work out what you like, then make the design work around you and your land.
