They're still out there 🚨 Serene Bathroom Heaters🚨 Urgent Safety Recall 🚨
These Serene wall-mounted bathroom heaters don't meet New Zealand's safety standards. This involves models S2068, S207T, or S2069. Refer to Worksafe NZ for information - https://www.worksafe.govt.nz/topic-and-industry/energy-safety/worksafes-action-on-serene-bathroom-heaters/
If you have a Serene Classic S2068 please stop using it immediately. They have been linked to multiple fires in New Zealand (for S207T and S2069 refer to website for more information).
What to do:
1️⃣ Identify your heater model: Check the label on the top of the unit for the model number.
2️⃣ Stop using it: Unplug it if it's connected to a socket. If it's hardwired, contact a licensed electrician to disconnect it safely.
This recall applies to all units sold, imported, or installed since June 2018. There is a significant risk of fire, which could result in serious harm or property damage.
