Things are busy at Orari Irrigation, and weโre looking for an experienced Irrigation & Pump Service Technician to join our small team.
Weโre a locally owned and operated family business servicing farms, businesses and residential customers throughout South & Mid Canterbury. Our work covers everything from farm water, filtration and pump systems through to fixed grid, residential and commercial irrigation, so thereโs plenty of variety and no two days are quite the same.

Weโre looking for someone who knows their way around irrigation, pumps, pipework and rural water systems, and has the experience and confidence to take responsibility for jobs and work independently when required.
Ideally, youโll have solid hands-on experience with:
โข LDPE, MDPE, PVC and Galvanised pipework, new installs and repairs
โข Water pumps and pump systems โ installation, fault-finding, servicing and repairs
โข General farm water, stock water reticulation and irrigation systems
โข Fixed grid / solid set irrigation
โข Residential irrigation
โข Operating an excavator for trenching and installation work
โข Diagnosing problems and finding practical solutions in the field
Experience with centre pivot irrigators would be a great advantage. Itโs an area weโd like to develop further, but it isnโt essential for this position.
An EST licence would be a great advantage.

We donโt expect you to know every product or system we work with from day one. But you should already have strong practical skills and enough experience to confidently take ownership of jobs.
