Did you know gum tree stumps are often some of the toughest to deal with?

They’re dense, heavy, and have some serious root systems, especially when they’ve been sitting there for years!

These big gum stumps in Waipukurau were no different, but once they’re gone it makes a massive difference to the place. Instead of working around them, mowing around them, or just living with them in the way, the space opens right up again.

And on a property like this, once the stumps are gone the view is pretty neat without them there 👌

This monster Pohutukawa stump certainly tried to slow us down! Buried throughout the root system were bricks, rocks, chunks of concrete and even steel, not exactly what you'd expect to find underground.

Safe to say our grinder earned its keep on this one. 💪 No matter what's hiding beneath the surface, we'll get the job done.

Remember when we shared the epic transformation of the Argyll School playground?

We recently received this beautiful letter in the mail from the kids, thank you so much! It honestly made our day.

It was awesome to be able to get in there, sort out the stumps, and help get the playground ready for the new swings. Seeing the end result (and hearing how much it means) is what it’s all about.

Looks harmless… until it messes with your water supply 💧🌳

In this case, an old cherry tree stump was impacting the water supply line.
A temporary re-route first, then the stump ground to maximum depth to allow for a permanent replacement.
