As Father’s Day comes to a close, we’re thinking of all the dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures, solo parents, and those who step up and are there for the people who need them.

We know Father’s Day looks a little different for everyone. For some, it’s a day spent together, and for others, it’s a day to remember someone special who is no longer here.

However Father’s Day has looked for you, we hope you’ve felt surrounded by love and have had a chance to honour the people who matter most.

Been a hell of a busy month on this one!

A huge amount of progress behind the scenes and on the house itself:

Septic system complete, rainwater tanks installed, drainage and stormwater sorted, roof on, building wrapped and windows in. Now the boys are into the weatherboards and the exterior is really starting to take shape.

Another pole shed almost wrapped up and ready to earn its keep 👌

Simple, practical and built tough - open bays, plenty of usable space and Colorsteel cladding to keep the weather off. Always satisfying seeing one of these come together and turn an empty patch of ground into something genuinely useful. Flashings to come, to finish it off.

Built for the farm.

The concrete truck ended up stuck in the middle of the paddock, fully loaded. Luckily, we had a tractor on site and managed to shuttle the concrete across to the shed site one bucket at a time.

Not exactly Plan A, but we got it done. Phew!

Cold starts, big progress, and plenty of timber.

The wall frames and roof trusses are now up on this new family home, and the shape of the house is really starting to come together. A run of frosty mornings has kept the boys moving - because standing still isn’t much of an option when it’s -2degrees.

Not a bad office view, though!

The foundations and floor are all wrapped up on this new build. A good honest start, plenty of timber, and just enough mud to remind us it’s winter. Framing is now underway, so stay tuned as this one starts taking shape.

This Matai floor has brought a whole lot of warmth and character into our Havelock North renovation. No two boards are the same, which is a polite way of saying it has plenty of personality. New kitchen to follow.

We’re down to the final touches at our Otane alteration. It’s been an 18-month journey, but the result is looking amazing inside and out. Here’s a quick look at the scullery, with the stone top for the main kitchen going in tomorrow.

Anyone who knows Cam knows he gives everything he does 100%. He takes so much pride in his work and genuinely loves helping people create homes they're excited to come back to every day. Seeing a project come together and knowing he's helped bring someone's vision to life is what drives him.
