Alex Reid Contracting Ltd. is now welcoming applications for experienced operators for the coming 2026/2027 season. If you have a minimum of two years’ experience operating agricultural machinery and a positive, can-do attitude, we would love to hear from you.
Our fleet consists of a range of modern New Holland and John Deere tractors, as well as a variety of high quality implements, including the latest Amazon precision drill.
We have a loyal and dedicated team and pride ourselves on having a positive environment and staff culture. We seek drivers to start the season around mid-September/October, until the end of March/April. Our operation involves a variety of services, but our seasonal demand includes the following:
Full cultivation - ploughing, discing, power harrowing, levelling, seeding
Dairy effluent - umbilical, slurry tanker, muck spreading and skid-steer
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating tractors
- Clean, full NZ Driver Licence or equivalent foreign
- Ability to pass pre-employment/random drug testing
- Excellent work ethic and able to sustain long hours when required
- Commitment to maintaining and looking after our machinery and equipment
- Fantastic communicator with a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual and able to complete tasks to a high standard, either independently or as part of a team
- Workplace Health and Safety know-how and commitment
- Knowledge of Greenstar GPS and Trimble systems would be an advantage
